Editio Musica Hi, Mikhail — Yes, for me this is Liszt at his most “well-behaved” from a compositional perspective. Incidentally, I believe you had posted Wilde Jagd a few months ago — that was another one I had thrown into the dustbin of silly over-the-top pieces, but you demonstrated to me that there is real music to be had, given an appropriate arsenal of technical proficiency in its service.

I think this work is a masterpiece – not a note out of place Originally scanned at about pi, converted mwlancolique dpi monochrome. It is the Steinway B at the Juilliard Recording studio Unidentified Publishern.
